MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) Train Blue Line is an east and west line that travels through Downtown Atlanta. In addition, this line stops by major sport stadium, historical sites, and parks. The Blue Line arrives every 15-20 minutes.

Stone Mountain Park
Exit Indian Creek Station and transfer to MARTA Bus Route 119.
In my opinion, Stone Mountain Park is the best place to hike and relax. Every time that I visit Atlanta, I will like to take a good hike to that small mountain. I wish MARTA could have expanded the Blue Line to Stone Mountain, but you have to transfer to a MARTA Bus Route 119. To go to Stone Mountain, exit Indian Creek Station, located east of Atlanta and it is the first/terminus station of the Blue Line.
If you need to use the restroom, there is a restroom by the stair case (inside the train station). After exiting the rail station, board MARTA Bus 119 to Stone Mountain.
The bus ride is around 20 minutes and the bus arrives every 30 minutes during peak hours (weekdays during the day) and 40 minutes off peak (late afternoon and weekends). Use MARTA Breeze Card or App to board the bus.

There are two ways to purchase a ticket before boarding MARTA:
- buying a Breeze Card at a ticket vending machine (TVM) in the train station
- Or buy online a Breeze Card online before arriving to Atlanta Georgia.
- MARTA’s Breeze App for Android or iOS.

Every train station has a fare gate. After purchasing a Breeze Fare Card (or ticket), go to the fare gate. Tap the Breeze Card on to the fare card reader (that is inscribed breeze). If the fare card has s sufficient value, the gate will open.
