RedCoach is a business class intercity bus that is service in Texas and Florida. This service is known for spacious and reclining seats. For this trip, I took a bus trip from Houston to Dallas on a Saturday morning.
The trip

The duration of this trip was almost three hours and half. The cost of this ride was 35.93 US Dollar (including taxes). The bus was expected to arrive at 9:30 am, but arrived at 9:46 am (16 minutes late). However, the bus arrived to Dallas at 1:15 pm (on-time). There was no brake (or stop) in between Houston to Dallas.

Pros and Cons about RedCoach
Pros
What I really like about RedCoach are:
- Spacious and reclining seats
- Friendly and professional bus operators
- Low cost
- Quiet ambience
Cons
- Arrives late to the departure time
- Lavatory on the bus is dirty and smelly
- The sink doesn’t work; liquid sanitizer is in place
- Door lock may not lock properly.
- Lack of communication
- No email or text notification if the bus arriving late or canceled.
- Bus may or may not show up
- If the bus doesn’t show up, you have to call RedCoach for them to reschedule you the upcoming departure (most likely the next day).
Final verdict
The ride is great because it is calm, quiet, and spacious. In addition, the bus operator is friendly and professional. However, the bus arriving late or may not show up gives me hesitant to ride RedCoach. In other words, RedCoach is unreliable. I do not want to think if the bus will arrive or not. I want a peace of mind that I will arrive to my destination on that day.
If you want a reliable trip, I would recommend flying Southwest Airlines or take Vonlane (https://youtu.be/X23ebvkJoCQ). Unfortunately , there is no Amtrak service between Houston to/from Dallas.
