Opinion
I was surprised how crowded was the streetcar. Valley Metro and Tempe picked a good segment. I’ve noticed students, faculties, and staffs of ASU were taking the streetcar. However, starting 2023, I wonder if ridership would drop/increase when Valley Metro starts collecting fares. I think Valley Metro should increase the streetcar every 10 minutes during ASU Fall and Spring semesters. Twenty minutes of wait time is too much because of the heat, synchronous with Valley Metro Rail, and people’s schedule.
Lastly, this streetcar is well connected with Valley Metro Rail. Valley Metro Rail is a light rail service that travels east-west of Phoenix. This train travels to Downtown Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).
Other Brookville Liberty Modern Streetcars
Dallas Texas has a streetcar that runs from Downtown Dallas Union Station to Oak Cliff (south of Downtown Dallas).
